Il Barolo, noto come “Re dei vini e il vino dei Re”, è nato nei primi anni del 1800. L’ultima marchesa di Barolo, uno dei comuni piemontesi dove si produce vino, Giulia Colbert Falletti, decise di far produrre il Nebbiolo come vino secco sulla scia di quelli francesi. Si affidò all’enologo Oudart e il risultato superò le aspettative. Il pregiato vino fu battezzato Barolo in omaggio alle tenute della nobildonna.
