Mozzarella di Agerola, a Sorrentine delicacy

“Fior di Latte” (cream of the milk), the stretched curd cheese made from cow’s milk, is the most famous fresh cheese in the world. This totally typical product is an integral part of the diary heritage of the whole of southern Italy, even though the original is exclusive to Agerola, a town that can trace its origins back to the pre-Roman era and that was known as early as the times of Galen of Pergamon for its production of "very healthy milk".
